Rosa Westfall
Rosa Westfall works as a music recording and mix engineer in Atlanta, GA. She received her B.S. in Audio Production from Middle Tennessee State University, and her M.S. in Music Technology at Georgia Institute of Technology. Rosa has since worked as a part-time instructor at Georgia Tech, teaching their Music Mixing & Recording course in the Fall semester of 2024.
In the commercial music industry, Rosa has worked at a handful of recording studios in Atlanta since graduating from MTSU in 2018. During this time, she has received assistant recording engineer credit on several albums including those by T.I., Young Thug, and Gunna, and has recorded countless other commercial artists including Lil Keed, Millie Go Lightly, K. Michelle, and Big K.R.I.T.
Rosa started her marching arts career as a front ensemble member in high school, and has performed with Alliance Drum & Bugle Corps, Palmetto Percussion, Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, and Music City Mystique. She has worked as a front ensemble instructor for various high schools in Tennessee and Georgia, and currently works as a marching audio consultant with a number of high school programs. Rosa was the lead audio editor and mix engineer for all projects produced by Virtual Arts Inc., including Virtual Drum & Bugle Corps and California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC) 2021. With a passion for educating the greater music community in the understanding and use of audio technology, she has recently joined the Music Technology Committee of the Percussive Arts Society. In the drum corps community, Rosa has been a sound engineer for Spirit of Atlanta, Bluecoats, and Carolina Crown, and most recently served as the Audio Coordinator at Carolina Crown.
