Returning as Visual Caption Head, Cora Gilreath is a is a music educator and marching arts designer based in Fort Collins, Colorado. She teaches private low brass lessons at Loveland and Fossil Ridge High Schools, and serves as the Visual Caption Head of the Loveland HS Band. Further, Cora spends part of her summer as a brass tech with the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps. Her prior teaching experience includes private lessons and marching band at many programs in Texas, such as Vista Ridge High School, Elkins High School, Austin High School, and Foster High School, as well as Pacific Crest, Spirit of Atlanta and Music City Drum and Bugle Corps. Cora also designs for bands and indoor ensembles across the country, which includes programming, props, costumes, drill, and choreography. In addition to her teaching experience, her performance experience as a member of the Phantom Regiment (2013-16) and Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps (2017) keeps her in high demand as an educator of the marching arts. Cora holds degrees from Iowa State University (B.M. Tuba) and the University of Texas at Austin (M.M. Tuba). In her free time, Cora enjoys spending time with her girlfriend Abby and their five cats, reading a good book, and playing various tabletop and video games.
