DENVER, CO – The Blue Knights and Ascend Performing Arts family is deeply saddened by the loss of former Blue Knights Instructor, Pat Amann.
On Tuesday, October 25th, Pat Amann, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, unexpectedly passed away. He was 54. Born in Pueblo, Colorado, Pat was a lifelong musician, hunter, and outdoor enthusiast. He graduated from Pueblo South High School and later studied music at the University of Massachusetts. He is survived by his parents, his sister, his wife Katy, his daughter Anna, and his son Eli.

“Pat was a fierce competitor and a gentle soul,” said Mark Arnold, CEO of Ascend Performing Arts and former Executive Director of the Blue Knights ensembles. “He was a gracious friend to all his students and fellow staff. Pat played a huge role in the development of the Blue Knights into the world-renowned ensembles we now are. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of the thousands of young people he taught, and by extension to the young people influenced by his students.”
